How to spot a fake LG air conditioner Part 1

Spotting a sub-standard product could be pretty easy if you know what to look out for. With plenty of low quality products in the market today, it has become necessary to be able to differentiate between fake and original products if you are to get value for your spend.

The list below is not exhaustive but could help you avoid the pitfall of buying a substandard air conditioner.

Lets get started,
1. The Packaging: Your first clue to spotting a fake LG air conditioner would be the carton. Original LG products sold in Nigeria have a reflective warranty sticker. A Fake product most certainly won't have that sticker or it would not be reflective.

2. The Product Information Label on the Outdoor Unit: The label on the outdoor unit is silver and the write up is embedded on the label. Substandard products usually have somewhat of a transparent sticker with black prints. Incidentally, the casing of the outdoor unit is silver/grey so it's easy to overlook the sticker.

3. Logo on outdoor unit: The LG Logo on the outdoor unit of original products is neatly crested on the body of the outdoor case. Counterfeits makers use an LG bearing sticker instead.
